Visitors to Eskmills will soon enjoy a brand new perspective on the thriving
Musselburgh business community.
Plans are in place to give the main reception area a complete refurbishment, and work is set to begin in July.
The new restaurant is growing in popularity every day, thanks to its consistently good food and great service. Opened in December 2006 the Glasshouse at Eskmills has had fantastic reviews
in some of the most noted newspapers.
General Manager Bryan Marshall says he is delighted with the response and
positive feedback for such a new venture. 'Dram' magazine, the prestigious restaurant trade journal have just short-listed
The Glasshouse at Eskmills for 'New Restaurant of the Year'.
Interior design consultancy Cubit 3D - who created Eskmill's much admired Glasshouse restaurant and are now based on site at Stuart House - will be responsible for breathing new life into the reception area. The new designs will give the area a new edge and we are keen that the new reception will have more of a corporate feel to it, but we also want to retain that distinctive Eskmills quality of being that little bit different.

News of another award for Eskmills underlines our belief that good environmental practices are becoming more recognised with the business community.
Since the very start of the building project our agenda at Eskmills has always been to follow these practices, but its certainly nice to have received a national gold award at the House of Commons in London.
Eskmills has also received the ISO14001 accreditation, the Green tourism award, and the biodiversity project is now being implemented. This only encourages us to seek new goals and challenges and keep Eskmills firmly on the map.
The piazza is now complete with the ambitious contemporary glass structure and domed roof for the bistro are installed. 2006 will be an exciting time as we begin to utilise this new space and facility and, with the recent installation of dramatic floodlights, some locals have made positive comments about the emergance of an impressive new landmark in Musselburgh.
It is hoped that the events calendar will soon develop and certain items become regular fixtures (especially in the piazza during the summer). We hope visitors to the area appreciate our surroundings and with the completion of the final stages at Archibald Hope House it is anticipated that Eskmills may soon reach 100% occupancy. More car parking is underway and landscaping to be completed. All these factors are providing a positive and exciting outlook for those at at Eskmills.
