Eskmills is 1 mile from the junction where the bypass joins the A1 -(Old Craighall junction).Musselburgh being at the east end of the Edinburgh city bypass also offers quick and easy access to the A1(south) and from the bypass to the M8 (Glasgow and Central Scotland). The bypass is also convenient for the M9 Forth Road Bridge (Fife and the North). and beyond.
The big advantage of being on the east side of Edinburgh means that persons working or travelling to Eskmills tend to be going in the opposite direction at peak times to the heavy commuter trafffic heading towards the city and Edinburgh Park on the West side.
