On the main bus route from Edinburgh to the East. Served by LRT and First Bus, with a bus every 4 minutes to and from Central Edinburgh (travel time 20 minutes),plus direct buses to peripheral Edinburgh and Mid and East Lothian. The two bus routes most useful for the city are the 26and the 44.

Trains: -

Musselburgh railway station is 800 metres from Eskmills, with trains running every half hour to and from Edinburgh Waverley(travel time 7 minutes). It is therefore possible to travel by train to Musselburgh from many locations in Britain and walk to Eskmills.

Car: -

Eskmills is 1 mile from the junction where the bypass joins the A1 -(Old Craighall junction).Musselburgh being at the east end of the Edinburgh city bypass also offers quick and easy access to the A1(south) and from the bypass to the M8 (Glasgow and Central Scotland). The bypass is also convenient for the M9 Forth Road Bridge (Fife and the North). and beyond.

The big advantage of being on the east side of Edinburgh means that persons working or travelling to Eskmills tend to be going in the opposite direction at peak times to the heavy commuter trafffic heading towards the city and Edinburgh Park on the West side.
