Scottish Landowners Federation
Tenant Profile
The Scottish Landowners’ Federation is never far from the nation’s front pages, as great debates ebb and flow on the
future of the countryside.
The issues that the 100-year-old Federation addresses, on behalf of its 3,500 members, are issues that affect us all – from
forestry and fishing, to land use and land management – providing a balanced view between private rights and the public
interest.
The Federation has to respond to a plethora of government proposals or consultation papers, applying logic and common sense to complex
issues that are crucial to the future wellbeing of the countryside – everything from access to land to the rights and obligations
of crofting communities.
