There are certainly exciting plans for visitors to Eskmills. The construction is at the final stages and due to open for the public by the summer of 2006. The visitor will be able to find out about the famous Net works of Musselburgh and see the restored buildings where this industry once thrived. There are plans to use the Art Gallery for temporary exhibitions and display local examples of sculptures, paintings and photography.
The bistro will soon be available for meals and refreshments where you can sit in the contemporary glass extension overlooking a stunning enclosed central piazza with its water features, sculptures and seating. The surrounding ESKMILLS buildings will also be floodlit which will highlight the magnificent stonework at Eskmills. We are hoping this will create a very unique atmosphere to enjoy whilst dining at the bistro.
