We’re very excited about Yule Fest, a new festive cocktail event, launching next week. From Monday 5th November, Leith (which is just a hop, skip and jump away from us here in Musselburgh!) will become a cocktail wonderland, with lots of top local bars offering special seasonal tipples.

Just buy yourself a festival pass for £5 (available from Yule Fest’s website here) and you’ll get access to the special £5 cocktails throughout the festival, as well as discounts on food at some of the participating bars. Get into the festive spirit with spiced, mulled and warming cocktails at more than 15 of Leith’s best bars. With your festival pass, you can also get 20% off delicious winter dishes, like venison ragu, shakshuka, gourmet burgers and chocolate yule log.

The festival runs from 5th November to 5th January, so there’s plenty of time to work your way round all the bars. Venues taking part include Malmaison, Boda Bar, Sofi’s, Nobles Cafe Bar & Restaurant, Joseph Pearce, Bar Brig, Black Pig & Oyster, The Barologist, Roseleaf, The Lioness of Leith, Victoria, The Granary, Finn & Bear, Tapa, Toast, Teuchters Landing and The Windsor.

Yule Fest is very much a community festival, encouraging Leithers and those from the local area to support EH6’s bars this festive season. There’s no need to head into the city centre when you’ve got all this on your doorstep! Plus, proceeds from festival pass sales will go to two great local charities – Hidden Door, an independent arts festival run entirely by volunteers, and Leithers Don’t Litter who are committed to cleaning up their neighbourhood to make Leith the loveliest part of Edinburgh.

The festival is sponsored by Oro Gin, a fantastic Scottish gin brand, and Central Taxis, who will make sure you get home safely this winter. The partner bars are working collaboratively to create an exciting two-month programme for festival-goers to look forward to this winter, each with their very own unique Leith flavour. From exclusive events and mixology masterclasses to live music, DJs and talks, Yule Fest-goers are set for a neat winter with a twist.

We can’t wait to check it out! Don’t forget to order your festival passes online – they’re valid for the duration of the festival and can be picked up from Malmaison or Joseph Pearce: yulefestleith.com
